Pillowell Silver Band, from the Forest of Dean, will finish their 120th year with a celebratory Christmas Concert and social evening later this month after a year n which they have enjoyed repeated success.

Visions of Eternity

The concert will feature a new wok commissioned for the occassion called 'Visions of Eternity' by young composer, Josh Ruck, aged 16. He wrote the piece whilst studying for GCSEs, and its an exciting, yet testing piece to play.

Success

The band has had a very successful 18 months under musical direction of Steve Ruck, winning three titles, and being well placed in other testing contests.

The band now has a starter band and junior band, and is now oversubscribed in its senior band, with new players joining on a regular basis.
