New MD at Flixton

Stephen Curtis is announced as the new MD at Flixton.

The Flixton Band has announced the appointment of Stephen Curtis as their new Musical Director.

Experience

Stephen brings a wealth of experience, having previously been the MD of the Wellington (Telford) Band. During the last five years he led them from the 4th to the 2nd section in the Midlands and under his direction, they gained a place at the National Finals on five consecutive occasions.

We're delighted that Steve has accepted the opportunity to become MD of Flixton, and look forward to him leading us to further success in the futureFlixton Band

Flixton thanked former MD Alan Hobbins for the excellent job which he did during the last 12 months, particularly for the podium finish at the Area contest.

Band Manager, Paul Thomason told 4BR: "Alan has become well respected, and popular with the members of the band. It is hoped that we will work together on specific projects in the future."
