The Brotherhood comes to Chalgrove

Terry Brotherhood comes to Chalgrove as new MD.

Brotherhood

The Chalgrove Band (Oxfordshire) has announced the appointment of Terry Brotherhood as their new Musical Director.

Experience

Terry brings a wealth of experience having played and conducted at the highest levels, most notably as former principal cornet with Morris Motors, and as musical director of City of Oxford, Kidlington and Stonesfield bands.

He recently led Chalgrove to 4th place in the 3rd Section of the recent 2009 Pontins Brass Band Championships.

I am sure he can help bring in new players to strengthen our ranks, and, above all, lead us to further success in the next few yearsChairman, Graham Ruecroft

Thanks

The band would like to thank former musical director Michael Pegram for the past four years service and, particularly, for leading Chalgrove from the 4th Section doldrums to a stable and ambitious 3rd Section band, acquiring the title of 2007 London & Southern Counties 4th section champions in the process.

Future success

Graham Ruecroft, band chairman, told 4BR: "I'm delighted that Terry has accepted the opportunity to become MD and I am sure he can help bring in new players to strengthen our ranks, and, above all, lead us to further success in the next few years."
