Lions Brass 4 Youth recently held a full day Brass Band Masterclass Workshop in Weston led by Philip Harper.

Tuition

Philip Harper and his team provided the young people aged from 8 to 18 of Grade 3 standard and above, with tuition and coaching on a specially selected programme of fun and lively up beat music, culminating in a late afternoon concert to show off their hard work to friends and family.

Buzz and excitement

Philip Harper told 4BR: "I arrived to a buzz and excitement, and the young players were very well disciplined and responsive in their approach and rose to the challenge magnificently, soaking up the pressure of the occasion to play wonderfully well."

Full of energy

Organiser Dave Hollister added: "The whole day was full of energy and enthusiasm from everyone involved. Philip and his team worked so hard, and all the young people attending will have gained a great deal from this experience."
