British Open Solo & Quartet Championship

The contest takes place this weekend — and you need to be there in time to take part and to listen to the great players.

Tameside
 

The British Open Solo & Quaret Championships takes place this weekend on Sunday 1st November at Dukinfield Town Hall in Tameside.

Competitors need to get there early depending on what section they are taking part in, as it is all due to kick off at 10.30am.

Junior Slow Melody Championship:
Draw: 2.00pm
Commences: 3.00pm approx, at the conclusion of the Junior Quartet competition.

Junior Quartet Championship:
Draw: 12.30pm
Commences: 1.30pm approx, at the conclusion of the Intermediate competition.

Intermediate Slow Melody Championship:
Draw: 9.30am
Commences: 10.30am

Senior Solo Championship:
Draw: 9.30am
Commences: 10.30am

Rehearsal facilities for the Senior Solos will be provided from 8.30am.

Senior Quartet Championship:
Draw: 2.00 pm
Commences: 3.00 pm approx, at the conclusion of the Senior Solo Preliminary competition.

The final for both Senior and Intermediate competitions will take place at the conclusion of the Senior Quartet Championship.

Competitors need to get there early depending on what section they are taking part in, as it is all due to kick off at 10.30am4BR

Rules:

All sections require competitors bring an unmarked copy of selected music for the adjudicators.

Competitors in the Senior Solo section wishing to use the official accompanist must send a piano copy to the contest secretary at least one week before the date of the competition.
