Exciting times back at Timperley

Timperley start their match fitness recovery with home town concert.

Timperley

The measure of progress Timperley Band has made over recent months came together on the 16th October, where they gave a concert to their home audience in Timperley village.

Varied and enjoyable

Under the direction of MD Andrew White, the audience was treated to a varied and enjoyable programme.

The concert saw the first outing for several new members of the band, including Will Morley on principal cornet who thrilled the audience with his performance of 'Zelda'.

The concert schedule is also a key step to improving overall ‘match fitness’ before our planned return to the North West top section contest circuit early in 2009Timperley Band

Projects

The band are looking forward to finishing the year off with several more concerts, one of which will be recorded as part of a project Timperley are undertaking with the University of Salford enabling post-graduate students to perfect their advanced audio skills.

The project also gives the band experience of the recording process in anticipation of their first CD being recorded in the New Year.

Match fitness

A spokesperson told 4BR: "The concert schedule is also a key step to improving overall ‘match fitness’ before our planned return to the North West top section contest circuit early in 2009."
