The Wallberg Band from Switzerland has announced a change of musical direction after five successful years working with Scottish conductor Russell Gray.

Taking over

Foden's MD Garry Cutt will now take over the helm for the 2010 cntesting season.

The rather unique Wallberg Band is made up of an eclectic mix of Swiss brass musicians and players from all over the world who take the opportunity to come and play for them each year.

Under Russell's command the band won the 2005 Yamaha Swiss Open. A spokesperson for the band told 4BR: "The musicians, management and sponsors of the Wallberg Band would like to convey sincere gratitude for Russell’s work, committment and enthusiasm and wish him well in the future."

The spokesperson added: "The Wallberg Band are looking forward to working together with Garry Cutt."
