There is great excitement amongst the girls of Boobs & Brass as they eagerly wait to hear the final version of their first CD release entitled, 'Whatever it Takes', following an invitaion by John Lee, flugel player of Brighouse & Rastrick for them to accompany him on his first solo album.
Fund raiser
It had always been John`s intention to produce a solo CD at some point so when he came across this unique bunch of ladies at their joint concert last year and learning about the fund raising they do for Breast Cancer Campaign, he immediately decided to ask them to do the recording with him.
Prodcued by Keith Farrington and Shaun Trotter from Music House Productions proceeds from the sale of the CD will be donated to Breast Cancer Campaign4BR
Enjoyable
The girls had no hesitation in accepting and enjoyed a weekend of great music making in September under the direction of Richard Evans and Derek Renshaw.
Sentiment
Pieces such as 'Evergreen', 'Misty', 'The Shadow of Your Smile' and a special arrangement by Alan Fernie of 'Right There Waiting' are featured on the release. The words from 'Whatever it Takes' is the album`s title and echos the sentiment of the Breast Cancer Campaign theme.
Trombone star Carol Jarvis made a guest appearance to play 'I've Got you Under My Skin', and whilst te weekend was hard work, it was full of fun and good humour.
Proceeds
Prodcued by Keith Farrington and Shaun Trotter from Music House Productions proceeds from the sale of the CD will be donated to Breast Cancer Campaign.
The CD will be launched in November and you will be able to purchase a copy through 4BR.
