Scots ready for AGM

The Scottish Brass Band Association is getting ready for an important and lively AGM.

The Scottish Brass Band Association is looking forward to a lively and informative Conference and AGM on Saturday 24th October in the Howden Park Centre, Livingston.

Keynote

The keynote speaker this year will be Richard Evans, who will be talking about his experiences as MD of the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland since 1992 as well as giving his thoughts on banding in the UK.

The day will start at 9.30am with registration followed by a warm welcome at 10.00am by Association President George Burt.

There will also be a report on the past year’s youth development programme given by the Association’s Development Officer, Alan Edmond4BR

Further group sessions will concentrate on Child Protection, Registration and Administration with Secretary/Registrar Tom Allan, and Support for Local Associations with George Burt and Alan Edmond.

AGM

The AGM of the SBBA begins at 1.30pm and will be followed by an Open Forum at 2.30pm when members will be able to have their say about the SBBA and any other topics raised on the day.
