If you want to find out how Fairey are doing as they prepare for the Albert Hall, then go along to their open rehearsals.

Fairey

Fairey is currently making final preparations for their National appearance this weekend.

Guests will be welcome on Tuesday 13th from 7.00pm at Uppermill Civic Hall, and on Thursday 15th at Stockport Academy. Entry is free and all are welcome.

Busy period

The band is currently enjoying a busy period having just returned from a Friday night headline slot in the Sonorama Festival in Besançon, France.

An estimated crowd of around 2,000 were present in one of the town’s main squares to witness a wide cross section of Fairey’s repertoire that concluded with a full set of Acid Brass.

Gyrating

Mike Eccles wowed the crowd in his role as Acid Brass frontman, working the crowd up into a gyrating frenzy.

The traditional British brass band sound transformed into a thumping Acid House beat as the sound technician cranked up the volume on the powerful sound system, accompanied by full lighting rig and digital projections onto the surrounding buildings.

Long into the night

The dancing went long into the night and the crowd literally screamed for more. There was little persuading the band to retake the stage for a 3rd encore, who literally played until they could play no more!
