Bands line up Torchbearer open rehearsals

Black Dyke, Pemberton Old, Camborne and Tredegar are all opening their doors ahead of their Albert Hall challenge.

A host of competing bands are opening their doors ahead of their challenge for the National title at the Royal Albert Hall on the weekend.

Black Dyke

The reigning National Champions, Black Dyke will be giving free admission to those who want to hear the test piece, 'The Torchbearers' by Peter Graham at Morley Town Hall.

The rehearsal will start at 8.00pm on Thursday 15th October and, as well as the open rehearsal and a full run through the test piece, Dr Childs will put on a short concert programme.

Admission is free and doors open at 7.30pm

Tredegar

Meanwhile, Welsh challengers Tredegar are holding their open rehearsal on Tuesday 13th October at Tredegar Comprehensive School Hall, Stable Lane, Tredegar.

The rehearsal will commence at 8.00pm.

Pemberton

After their 102 year wait to return to London, Pemberton Old Wigan DW
are holding their open rehearsal on Tuesday 13th October at St Matthews Church, Highfield, Wigan and starts at 8.00pm.

Admission is free.

Camborne

West of England champions Camborne are holding their open rehearsal on Wednesday 14th October under Richard Evans at Camborne Wesley Methodist Chapel at 8:00 pm.

Harlow Brass Band
