Success and players for Poulton

New players and new success for the fast rising Poulton Band.

Poulton

In what has been a resurgent year so far for Poulton-Le-Fylde Band has further strengthened its ranks, to good effect it seems!

Principal

Andrea Wilkinson takes up the role of Principal trombone having previously played at Blackburn & Darwen. Andrea, who has been helping the band out in the last 12 months has now pledged her allegiance to the band — much to the delight of everyone at Poulton.

Young markers

Two young players have also made their mark with the band — starting with their runner up place at the recent Fleetwood Contest.

Connor Lennon has come in on soprano and has made a considerable impact in both the Whit Friday marches and recent Poulton concerts.

Meanwhile, Patrick Callery joins on tuba and is a graduate of the Poulton Youth Band. Patrick is local to the band and completes the Poulton bass line-up.

I'm delighted to have such fine talent commit to the bandMD, Gareth Westwood

Delighted

Gareth added: "Thanks to the commitment of all our players, the band gave one of its finest performances at the recent Fleetwood contest and we are looking forward to building on such a successful performance at our future competitive outings."
