New MD at Pleasley

Keith Buxton is the new man at the helm at Pleasley Colliery Band.

 

Pleasley Colliery Welfare Band has announced the appointment of Keith Buxton as their new MD. Keith takes up the position with immediate effect.

Successful

Keith has been working with the band on a temporary basis for the last few weeks and the partnership has proved so successful that the band have moved to make this a permant arrangement.

Keith, a well known cornet player, formerly of Thoresby Colliery, Carlton Main Frickley Colliery and for many years principal cornet with the Blidworth Colliery Band.

Keith added: "Pleasley are a great bunch of people and it is a priviledge to join a distinquished list of MDs at this famous old band."
