Croy's hike to the top

Croy take the high road to raie funds — with a purple bear in tow!

Croy Youth Band members recently completed a massive 95 mile trek 95 miles from the North of Glasgow to the foot of Ben Nevis so that they coud do a concert with a 'Guitaer Hero' theme of their choice!

Purple Bear

Taking part in the walk was Angela Jarvie, youth band members Lewis and Louise Scotland and soon to be Youth Band member Callum Scotland, accompanied by the bands mascot BB the wee purple bear.

I'm delighted that the team did this and all of us in the band are greatful of the support that all of the parents offer Croy Youth Brass or as Angela calls them — The Brass BratsGrant Golding

Week long trek

The week long trek finally saw the team reach Fort William, and the support from people on the walk was fantastic with around £1,500 raised for youth band funds.

Conductor Grant Golding told 4BR: "I'm delighted that the team did this and all of us in the band are greatful of the support that all of the parents offer Croy Youth Brass or as Angela calls them — The Brass Brats!"
