New MD at Forest of Dean

Jack Smith is the new man at the helm at Forest of Dean.

Following the recent departure of their previous Musical Director, Forest of Dean Brass has announced the appointment of Jack Smith BMus
(Hons), MMus, ATCL.

Jack, who studied trombone at Trinity College of Music, and conducting at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff, takes over with immediate effect.

We are very pleased to gain the expertise of Jack and hope to go far under his direction with our main focus on the West of England Area Contest in MarchForest of Dean

The band's first outing with their new MD will be at the Oxford District Brass Band Association Entertainments Contest on Sunday October 11th and also have a very busy Christmas season ahead.
