Last weekend, the current Masters Champion, Foden's and conductor Garry Cutt travelled to Beccles (Suffolk) where they performed a concert to a capacity audience in the prestigious St Michael's Church at the request of Elgar Howarth.
Serious
The first half of the concert featured a number of 'serious' pieces including 'In Memoriam RK' composed by Elgar Howarth, 'Paganini Variations' and the 'Horovitz Euphonium Concerto' performed by Glyn Williams.
The concert concluded with Elgar Howarth conducting a march specially composed by himself for Fodens entitled, 'The Golden Arrow'4BR
Lighter
The second half included a number of lighter items and the rarely played cornet solo 'Arizona Belle' by Rimmer which was requested by Elgar Howarth and played by Mark Wilkinson.
The concert concluded with Elgar Howarth conducting a march specially composed by himself for Fodens entitled, 'The Golden Arrow.'
