4BR has been informed of the departure of Duncan Wilson from City of Cambridge Band.

Successful

Duncan was appointed as Resident conductor in 2008 and was invited to become Musical Director shortly afterwards. In that time, they have presented a number of very successful concerts and retained their Championship section status at the L&SC Area contest.

The band has gone through a number of changes recently and I felt it was time for another conductor to take them in the direction they want to goDuncan Wilson

Duncan told 4BR: "I have parted company with Cambridge by mutual consent and, I hope, on good terms. The band has gone through a number of changes recently and I felt it was time for another conductor to take them in the direction they want to go. I send my very best wishes to them for the future."
