The death has been reported of Fred Mills, aged 74, the trumpeter for 24 years with Canadian Brass.
It is understood he died in a car accident.
Mills, who was teaching at the University of Georgia, died on Monday in an accident near Atlanta, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. He had just returned from a concert date in Europe.
