Paying their second visit to the Exmouth Entertainment Contest recently, Falmouth's Pendennis Brass was over the moon with their success.
The band was placed as the highest 3rd Section Band and won the 'Best Percussion' award for the second year in a row.
Icing
The icing on the cake, however, was winning the 'Best Entertainment' award, with a programme chosen by MD Steve Thomas' which included 'Valero', 'Trumpet Blues and Cantabile', 'I'll Walk With God', 'Mr Sandman' and the finale, 'March from the Pines of Rome'.
The trombone section of Kevin Dower, Tom Furse and Adrian Dower also featured in 'The Old Rugged Cross', whilst Pendennis' talented percussion section was Justine and Jon Hart, David King and guest for the day, Jeremy Taylor.

Back to work
The band now begin rehearsals for the SWBBA contest at Torquay in November, their last performance in Section 3 before promotion next year.
