Plans are now well advanced for the visit of Grimethorpe Colliery Band to St.John’s, Smith Square, London on Saturday 19th September.

The concert, which will feature two London premieres, will also feature the internationally acclaimed pianist, Ashley Wass, who will
perform the specially commissioned 'Cabaret Concerto' by Martin Ellerby.

Grimethorpe will be conducted by its Musical Director, James Gourley and the programme will include 'Brass on Fire' (Barry), 'Danceries' (Hesketh), 'Titan’s Progress' (Pallhuber) and 'Firebird' (Stravinsky).
