Beer helps!

Members of Boarshurst Band are hitting the beer to help a great cause.

Members of the Boarshurst Silver Band have announced that on 10th – 11th October 2009 that they will be serving beer all day at their Annual Beer Festival.

The Festival is to be held at the Boarshurst Band Club, Greenbridge Lane, Greenfield, where over 20 different beers will be on sale from well known brewers like Thwaites and Robinsons to some small breweries from around the North of England.

Names like Titanic Brewery, Greenfield Brewery, Millstones Brewery, All Gates brewery, Whale Bone Brewery and several other brewers are supporting this event.

Pints

The doors will be open between 12 and 10pm on Saturday 10th October and between 12 and 9pm on Sunday 11th. Entry fee will be £5.00 per Day and all beers will be at £2.00 per pint.

Tickets can are available by contacting Dave Ashworth on 07785 257129 and the event will be ticket only.

Proceeds

Proceeds from the Festival are being donated to the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital where David's Granddaughter, who is only 11 weeks old, is awaiting a very serious heart operation, and where the family has had to live for the past three weeks as she awaits the operation.

March 8 • Aldbourne lead the way in Torquay with section titles going to Roche Brass, Porthleven, Bratton Silver and Illogan Sparnon Silver.

Chinnor Silver

March 8 • Our COMMUNITY BAND meet every other monday morning(nxt one this monday) and we are looking for CORNET PLAYERS to join us.. you do not need to change your affiliation as we just offer free fun music making with cake and coffee thrown in.


Wakefield Metropolitan Brass Band

March 8 • Wakefield Metropolitan are looking for Bass player and percussionist to help the band move forward after a promising area performance
