The reigning European, World and Welsh champions, Cory, picked up yet another award for its musical excellence on the weekend, when Dr Robert Childs accepted the prestigious John Edward Award from the Welsh Music Guild for their unprecedented contesting success together during the past number of years.

On a glitzy high profile night Yvonne Mathias and Rhiannon Hoddinott the wives of the two great Welsh composers were also presented with Life Awards in recognition of their husbands contribution to Welsh musical life.
