The ninth annual Armagh Brass Band Summer School recently took place with over 100 brass musicians from the Emerald Isle enjoying themselves to the full.
Record numbers
Headed by the Armagh Old Boys Band with the help of top players from British Open Champions, Fodens, the week proved to be a great success with the largest number of delegates in attendance over its nine year history.

Progress
Marked musical progress was observed from tutors Toby Hobson, Mark Landon, Richard Poole, David Morton, Anita Dale, Leslie Howie and Mark Bousie under the directorship of Fodens Associate conductor Mike Fowles.
Delegates concert
The week included sectionals, masterclasses, individual tuition and full band rehearsals as well as a 'Delegates Concerts' where over 20 soloists and small ensembles performed to a capacity audience at the Armagh Old Boys Band Club.
The Fodens octet also performed a separate concert for delegates and friends and the course concluded with a daytime concert in the town centre where the delegates were joined by the Old Boys Brass Band and the 3rd Carrick Band.
