Revival continues at Mid Rhondda

It seems the contesting bus will starting up again at Thomas Coaches Mid Rhondda.

After their first night back at rehearsal was a great success, the Thomas Coaches Mid Rhondda Band are hoping that their comeback is gathering strength.

First night back

Alan Gibbs told 4BR: "Our first night back was very successful. There was a good attendance, enthusiastic players and a friendly atmosphere made the evening enjoyable for everyone."

Feedback

The feedback from those who attended showed that there is a desire to get the band back on its feet, and Alan is confident that the next few months will see further recruitment of players and even more progress towards their goal of returning to the contesting fold in Wales.

We are all trying hard to get Mid Rhondda back to where they belong, and this has been a great first step forward. There is a real buzz about the band once againAlan Gibbs

Encouraging

Alan added: "What was also encouraging was the attendance of some former members who are not currently playing, and one in particular who hasn’t played for many years but is determined to make a come back”to help our cause."

Alan concluded: "We are all trying hard to get Mid Rhondda back to where they belong, and this has been a great first step forward. There is a real buzz about the band once again."
