Woodfalls plea

After losing their recent sponsorship deal after 14 years, Woodfalls look for financial help.

Woodfalls

In a recent news report in their local Salisbury Journal newspaper, Woodfalls Band has announced that they are in need of £3,000 to help keep the band on track over the next few months.

Sponsorship loss

In January, the band lost their South West Trains sponsorship, after 14 years.

Band Secretary, Brian Easterbrook told the newspaper: "It was not renewed due to the financial climate, but we are extremely grateful to South West Trains for all their years of sponsorship, and I know they always felt they had good value. We spread good news around the community."

The reality though is that the band now need financial support from other sources and the paper reported that the band urgently needs to raise £3,0004BR

Reality

The reality though is that the band now need financial support from other sources and the paper reported that the band urgently needs to raise £3,000 in the next few months — or it may face an uncertain future.

Standards

Brian added: "To maintain our high standard and attract the best players, we need funds. It is 13 years since we purchased a new instrument and some are getting a bit ragged round the edges."

One off

Even the Salisbury Journal itself has got involved and has sponsored the band for a forthcoming fund raising engagaement, but it seems the band may well need more than just a generous 'one-off' to help them in the future.
