John Maines recently celebrated 30 years as Trombone Tutor with the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.
Presentation
On the recent Summer Course at Framlingham, John was presented with a crystal decanter and glasses along with a engraved plaque and certificate to mark the occasion by Artistic Director Bramwell Tovey.
First course
John’s first course as tutor was in 1979 and since that time he has seen many top players come through the ranks from Nicholas Childs and Ian Bousfield to Martin Winter, David Thornton and the new principal trumpet of the London Symphony Orchestra, Philip Cobb.
