New MD at Torbay

The will be no musical wake at Torbay in future as Tom Finnigan takes over the baton.

 

Torbay Brass has announced the appointment of their new musical director Tom Finnigan.

Good quality

Tom is a professional conductor and musician recently of the Royal Marines Band based in Dartmouth. After joining the band in June, he intends to take the band forward with a combination of good quality music making and ambitious concert performances.

He brings a wealth of experience and has already made a big impression with the players during rehearsalsDavid Wilkinson

Royal Marines

Tom left the Royal Marines Band in 2008 after a long and successful musical career, and has settled with his family in the Torbay area where he now finds time to devote to his first musical interest of brass bands.

The band has already welcomed eight new players and are keen to recruit more.

Tintwistle Band

June 9 • Tintwistle Band are looking for a 2nd horn player to help complete the team. . We rehearse Monday and Thursday 8-10pm under the baton of our MD Jim Henson, at our own bandroom on Old Road in Tintwistle, and perform a variety of concerts all year round.
