Cwmaman Institute Silver Band will shortly be on their European travels in the next few day as they get ready to take part in 'Nürtingen Klingt Gut' – or 'Nurtingen Sounds Well' in Germany.
Travel
Travelling in the early hours of Friday morning the band will fly to Stuttgart before making their way to Nurtingen.
'Nürtingen Klingt Gut' is an annual festival celebrating all genres of music and takes place throughout July. The culmination of the festival is an open air concert on the last Saturday where massed orchestras and bands come together.

March
On the Saturday afternoon the band will march through the streets of the town before meeting the town orchestra and wind band for a rehearsal ahead of the concert.
The band will take to the stage in the second half with the town orchestra to play Handel’s 'Music for the Royal Fireworks', and in a fitting tradition to all things British, will end with Elgar’s 'Pomp and Circumstance No. 1'.
Great honour
Martyn Wait told 4BR: "The band have not travelled to Germany since 2001 and it’s a great honour to have been invited back. This is a great opportunity for the band to promote Wales and its musical links with our European cousins."
