Results: Picnic in the Park

Stroll in the park for Peterlee as they take Picnic Prize.

The grounds of the historic DLI Musuem in Durham was turned into the annual Picnic In The Park Contest on the 19th July, ran by the Durham County Brass Band Association.

Epic win

A decent turn out of bands saw GT Group Peterlee victorious in an epic win which saw them beat their local rivals Westoe by three points.

Favour

The band was conducted Steve Malcolm, and delivered a 20 minute entertaiment programme that found favour with adjudicator David Lancaster.

The band also won the 'Best March' award for their interpretation of 'Bombasto', whilst Westoe won the 'Soloist Award' where David Horn played 'Local Hero'.
