Regent going Nowhere

Regent Brass has been going Nowhere to bring the early life of John Lennon to the big screen.

Regent Brass

Members of Regent Brass recently participated in the shooting of 'Nowhere Boy', a feature film that sheds new light on the previously untold story of Beatle, John Lennon's early life and relationship with his mother and aunt.

Oscar

The film stars Oscar nominated actress Kristin Scott Thomas, who plays Lennon's Aunt Mimi, Anne-Marie Duff, playing his mother, and Aaron Johnson as the young Lennon. The film is due for release later this year or in spring 2010.

it will be interesting to see how the many takes are finally transformed into a few minutes of the finished feature film — and which of the band eventually appear on the big screen!Adrian Parker

Greensleeves

The 10 piece band was filmed in several crowd scenes and as a standalone ensemble. Having prepared a variety of music, the band was limited to renditions of 'Greensleeeves' for copyright reasons!

Actors

Band Chairman, Adrian Parker, told 4BR: "The band members spent an interesting day filming alongside well known actors and actresses. On a very warm day, the band was probably over dressed in full band uniform and it will be interesting to see how the many takes are finally transformed into a few minutes of the finished feature film — and which of the band eventually appear on the big screen!"
