Edward Gregson recently conducted the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.

Helping hand

The composer directed the band at Birmingham Town Hall on the weekend to help celebrate the 10th anniversary of the organisation, Youth Music.

The NYBBGB Artistic Director, Bramwell Tovey, was unable to conduct on this occasion as he was conducting the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in New York, so he invited Edward Gregson to conduct.

Bramwell and everyone at the NYBBGB were delighted that Edward accepted the invitation in a programme that Arnold's 'Little Suite For Brass', 'Penlee' by Simon Dobson and his own 'Laudate Dominum'.
