    Solo Awards

    The individual solo awards were won by Peter McDonaugh of the WFEL Fairey Band who was presented with the Geoffrey Whitham Memorial Trophy.

    The Brian Evans Memorial Trophy as Best Soprano went to Richard Poole of Foden's — with the trophy presented to the Foden's Band representative.

    The Stanley Wainwright Memorial Trophy as Best Soloist was won by Christopher Binns, the solo trombone of Grimethorpe Colliery Band

    Special Presentations

    Special presentations were made to Paris Brass Band on their debut appearance at the contest qualifying for the event through the 2019 European Championships, and to Edward Gregson, composer of the test piece.

    Mortimer Medal Presentations...

    The Mortimer Medals were presented to Steven Mead (2021) and Duncan Beckley
    (2022) in recognition for their outstanding work in sustaining the teaching of young brass musicians.

    The 2020 will be made privately to the family of Bramwell Tovey OC OM following his death earlier this year.
