Many years experience as a Conductor, Teacher, Band Trainer and Adjudicator.

Brian has benefitted from a dual performing career as a professional freelance trumpeter (including work with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra) and as a cornettist with some of the UKs top bands, including playing Assistant Principal at Newham, Aveley and Redbridge.

He has appeared in all the major London Concert halls and at The Maltings and the Edinburgh Festival.

He spent 7 successful years as a peripatetic teacher with Lancashire County Council and was also the cornet tutor for the Lancashire Schools Brass Band, and the Brass tutor for the Lancashire Schools Orchestra.

Under his guidance, three bands have been promoted, and he currently enjoys freelance work with Brass Bands and is currently the principal conductor of the Blackpool Symphony Orchestra.
