Six of the best for Elland

The Elland Silver Band organisation will showcase the talents of their six ensembles at a special concert at Huddersfield Town Hall.

Elland Silver Band, fresh from their appearance at the European Youth Championships in Birmingham will be performing closer to home later this year.

They will be part of a showcase all six sections of their organisation in a special concert at Huddersfield Town Hall on Sunday 26th June (2.30pm)

Over 100 musicians

Over 100 musicians — from the age of 6, will take to the stage. It will be the first time all different ensembles have shared a concert stage since December 2019.

The Championship Section Elland Silver Band will be led by MD Daniel Brooks, who will play alongside the multi award winning Youth Band, the recently crowned National Youth Intermediate Champion, Training Band, the HIT IT Percussion Group and also the newly formed Community Band.

Popular radio broadcaster, David Hoyle, will compere to make it a really memorable occasion.

Showcase

Speaking to 4BR, Daniel Brooks said: "We've waited almost three years to put this event on and we can't wait to showcase all out talented musicians.

Our success as an organisation is based on our ethos of developing and encouraging musicians of all levels and abilities to enjoy music. You'll be amazed by the incredible talent on display, and we know the audience will have a wonderful afternoon."
