Triple bonus attractions for Scottish Youth

You can hear plenty of fantastic music making in Scotland over the next few weeks — from the trio of National Youth Bands to Tubular Brass

  The National Youth Brass Bands of Scotland will be showcasing their talents in concerts

The National Youth Brass Bands of Scotland will be showcasing their talents later this month with concert performances in Perth.

Triple header

The concert 'triple header' on Saturday 29th July, will see the Children's Band performing at Strathallan School (PH2 9EG) at 2.00pm, followed a little later at 7.00pm by both the Senior & Reserve Bands at St John's Kirk in Perth (PH1 5SZ).

Tubular Brass

Meanwhile in a great initiative to attract young players to explore the musical possibilities of brass playing, the Tubular Brass ensemble has offered free entry to players from the National Youth Brass Bands or Scottish school bands, to their critically acclaimed 'Tubular Brass' concert led by Sandy Smith at St Cuthbert's Church in Edinburgh on Saturday 5th August (starting 7.30pm)

Strong line-up for Scottish titles in Perth

February 15 • We currently need a Kit percussionist, 2nd horn and Bb Bass as we prepare for the forthcoming Midlands Area at Bedworth in March. We are graded Section 4


The Corsham Band

February 15 • Having now been promoted to the 2nd Section for the forthcoming Contest season, the band are now looking for a back row cornet player, 2nd or 3rd, to join our team


The Cobham Band

February 14 • The Cobham Band is looking for baritone, euphonium and bass trombone players. This friendly band meets each Monday 8-10pm in Cobham. We have a full programme of bandstands, concerts and do some SCABA contests too. We welcome novices & returning players.
