The Cory Band has taken the opportunity to express their disappointment that due to Prestige Promotions (UK) Ltd ceasing trading, they are unable to undertake proposed concerts in Bury St Edmunds and Broxburn on the weekend of the 14th and 15th June.
Beyond control
Band Manager Austin Davies told 4BR: "The circumstances, which are totally beyond our control, make it impossible for Cory to now undertake these planned concert appearances.
We were looking forward to meeting friends and supporters at both events, and would like to take the opportunity to apologise to anyone who has purchased concert tickets in good faith.
We hope to be able to fulfil appearances in both areas at some time in the future and also hope that refunds are made available."
Removed
He added: "We have also removed from our diary all future planned concert with Prestige Promotions (UK) Ltd."
Norwegians and Snell
Good news however for Cory fans is that the band will be in concert with the Nidaros Band from Norway, under the batons of Philip Harper and Howard Snell at the Hoddinott Hall at the Welsh Millennium Centre on Friday 6th June.
Austin added: "We would love anyone who will have missed out on the June performances to come along and enjoy a great event.
The band will be conducted by Philip Harper and Howard Snell, whilst we have wonderful guests in the Nidaros Band from Norway."
