Blidworth set for Olympic Torch
22-Jun-2012The Blidworth Welfare Band is putting in the extra training for the arrival of the Olympic Torch.
Blidworth Welfare Band is starting to put the final touches to their programme for the forthcoming Olympic Torch event on Friday June 29th through the District of Bolsover and North East Derbyshire.
The band will appear at both Bolsover and Calow, near Chesterfield.
Honour
Band Secretary Karen Cretney commented to 4BR: "It’s a great honour to be invited to perform at such a prestigious event. The band are in great demand at the moment but are particularly looking forward being involved in this ‘once in a lifetime’ spectacular."
