Results: Durham BBA

GT Group Peterlee make light work of it to take Durham entertainment title.

The Durham County Brass Band Association Contest took place at the Durham Light Infantry Museum on the weekend, where despite the small number of entrants a fine days contesting was enjoyed by one and all.

Winners

In the end, adjudicator David Lancaster opted for the 20 minute entertainment programme provided by GT Group Peterlee, conducted by Steve Malcolm to take home the Durham Trophy and the £200 winners cheque closely followed by Westoe directed by Jamie Smith with Durham Miners Association in third.

Victory

In the earlier C& D section there were a couple of withdrawals, but victory went to Northumbrian Water Ellington conducted by Jonathan Fenwick.

Tintwistle Band

June 9 • Tintwistle Band are looking for a 2nd horn player to help complete the team. . We rehearse Monday and Thursday 8-10pm under the baton of our MD Jim Henson, at our own bandroom on Old Road in Tintwistle, and perform a variety of concerts all year round.
