Pontins announce test pieces

Pontins have announced their test pieces for this year's event at Prestatyn.

The Pontin's Brass Band Committee and Management have announced the details of the 21010 event, which will tke place at the Prestatyn resort on the weekend of Friday 22nd to 25th October.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "At this year's Championships, we will celebrate 37 years of Pontin’s Brass Band Contests, and as usual, beside the wonderful test pieces selected by our musical adviser James Scott, visitors and band persons will again enjoy a great social weekend filled with music and entertainment."

Tintwistle Band

June 9 • Tintwistle Band are looking for a 2nd horn player to help complete the team. . We rehearse Monday and Thursday 8-10pm under the baton of our MD Jim Henson, at our own bandroom on Old Road in Tintwistle, and perform a variety of concerts all year round.
