Woodfalls fit all the pieces together to take Wessex title on Montage.

The Wessex Brass Band Association held its annual Winter Contest on Saturday at the Pavilion, Weymouth, adjudicated by C Brian Buckley.

Pre-draw

The pre-drawn own choice contest saw band’s play throughout the day regardless of grade, who were adjudicated according to their respective national grading and not that of their chosen test piece.

Honours

At the announcement of the results it was Woodfalls who took the honours with their performance of 'Montage' directed by Melvin White, followed by First Section outfits, Michelmersh Silver, playing 'The Saga of Haakon the Good' and Sandhurst Brass, performing 'The Year of the Dragon'.
