World Rankings: May update
11-May-2012Black Dyke close the gap at the top of the rankings following their recent win in Rotterdam at the European Championships
The latest World of Brass—4barsrest.com Rankings see few changes at the very top following last weekend’s European Championships, but Black Dyke’s
first victory in the event since 2005 means that Cory’s lead at the top has been vastly reduced.
'Dyke' will now approach the English National Championships in June as hot favourite to take over the number one position.
Continental success at Rotterdam also means big rises for Eikanger-Bjørsvik (Norway), Noord Limburgse (Belgium) and Brass Band Schoonhoven
(Netherlands), while other big movers since the last update include North American Champion, Atlantic Brass Band, and Australian Champion, Gunnedah
Shire.
