Fountain City success makes a mark in Kansas

The UK tour success of Fountain City in claiming podium finishes at Brass in Concert and the Scottish Open has certainly made a mark back home in Kansas.

The success of their UK tour has also made a mark back home in their home state of Kansas.

The success of Fountain City Band on their recent tour to the UK has been noted back in their home state of Kansas in the USA, with an extensive feature article written by journalist Libby Hansen at the KCUR 89.3 radio website.

Open people's eyes

In it, MD Joseph Parisi says, 'I think we open people's eyes' — an assessment that was certainly shown to be accurate in their runner-up finish at the Brass in Concert Championship at Sage Gateshead and their podium finish at the Scottish Open in Perth.

The article also quotes Ian Bousfield, one of the judges at the BiC event, who stated that he was 'utterly astonished' on hearing the band, whilst there are images and responses to the band's visit to the iconic Black Dyke bandroom in Queensbury.
