The NASUWT Riverside Band has announced its conducting team for the 2015 season.

After two successful years under the direction of Ray Farr, the conducting duties will be shared between Stephen Malcolm and David Roberts.

Roberts at Area

A spokesperson told 4BR: “With Ray unable to take the band in the near future, Dave Roberts has agreed to lead us at the North of England Regional Championship.

We have worked well with Dave previously, and we are therefore looking forward to the partnership being renewed.”

Malcolm coup

It was also announced that the band has also secured the services of Stephen Malcolm, who will help Dave in the preparation of the Area test piece.

The spokesperson added: “We are also delighted to have Stephen on board.

We knew of his prior commitment to take Bon Accord at the Scottish Championships on the same day, so despite relinquishing his conducting position with the Felling Band, which he led to the North of England Championship title in 2012, his appointment is also a huge coup.”
