New and late arrivals at Ransome
30-Dec-2006The Ransome Band welcome back two players and the arrival of a new one (in perhaps 16 years time).
The Ransome Band has informed 4BR that they are delighted to announce a new arrival in the ranks.
Star soprano cornet player Dave Bird and his wife, 2nd trombone player, Jo have given birth to their first child - a bouncing boy already named as Liam.
Jim Henson from the Band told 4BR that by arriving some two weeks before the due date Liam had obviously had enough and made a bid for freedom!!

Meanwhile, returning to the Ransome fold are the husband and wife team of Dave and Della Pearce, both previous long serving members of the band .
Both Dave and Della served in the band service for the RAF, Dave notching up some 23 years as solo cornet and returns to the front row bench when work commitments allow. Della returns on flugal, a position she held for numerous years with the band and is regularly featured as a soloist.
Jim Henson told 4BR: "We would like to welcome them back officially and hope we can repeat the success the band had when they both played previously. We are delighted to see two players of the utmost quality and calibre return to the band."
