Enough is enough
30-Dec-2006With the road death tolls mounting, we are reminded of the tragic accident this time 12 months ago which claimed the lives of two members of the Lawrence family from Brisbane Brass.
Sadly we remember the deaths of Sharon and Hayden Lawrence, mother and son, in a single vehicle accident on 27 December, 2005.
The Lawrence family have made brave attempts to move forward since this horrific event. Steve and Shannan have returned to Brisbane Brass, with Shannan progressing very well following the severe injuries she sustained in the accident.
At 2pm on 6 January, supported by Brisbane Metropolitan Bands and Brisbane City Council, there will be a free, variety concert in Brisbane City Hall. The concert will feature International Besson Soloist Russell Gray along with Brisbane Brass and other local talent.
A representative from the Queensland Police Force will address the audience highlighting the need for road safety using its latest slogan “because..enough is enough”.
There will be a gold coin donation with proceeds going to a brain injury unit and towards the huge ongoing cost of Shannan’s rehabilitation.
