Brits return from memorable USA trip
12-Dec-2003Two sturdy British banders have just enjoyed themselves in Las Vegas - playing in a band it seems!
Richard Batten (bass trombone) and Judith Jones(cornet) have just returned from a memorable trip to Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Whilst in Vegas they performed with the Las Vegas Brass Band (conducted by Charles Jackson) at their annual Flamingo Library Theatre Christmas Concert.
Judith sat on Repiano cornet and Richard was featured as guest soloist playing Frosty the Snowman and Let It Snow, Man.
They would like to pass on their thanks to the LVBB, in particular Ed Carroll and Pete Cooper who Richard had previously met at the North American Brass Band Championships in Washington DC, for making them feel so welcome.
The couple, who are both regular members of the Young Ambassadors Brass Band of Great Britain, would also like to announce their engagement following Richards proposal in the Grand Canyon.
