Rankings: January/February update
3-Mar-2009The latest World of Brass—4barsrest Rankings see few changes near the very top following the first leg of the contest season.
Stavanger is the only band in the top ten to move up, despite its disappointing result at the Norwegian Championships, but Eikanger-Bjørsvik makes a welcome return to the top 20 following its second successive win in Bergen, while Oslo Brass moves up a whopping 141 places after its surprise second place.
The other contests taking place since the last update are:
French Championships—won by Nord Pas de Calais
Butlins Mineworkers—won by Redbridge
Yeovil Entertainment Contest—won by Flowers
Brass at the Guild—won by Pemberton Old Wigan JJB
Welsh Open—won by BTM
NEMBBA Derby Contest—won by Silk Brass
The next update will follow the Regional Championships in the UK. Please note that these rankings do not include the North West Regional Championships in Blackpool.
