World Rankings: May Update

Manger Musikklag’s sensational victory at the recent European Brass Band Championships in Montreux sees the Norwegian band storm into the top ten of the World of Brass—4barsrest Rankings for the first time at number eight.

The ever-consistent Cory retains the top spot following its second place, while the 2010 British Open Champion, Tredegar, moves up to an all-time high of third after another prizewinning contention at the 'European'.

North American Brass Band Championships - won by Atlantic Brass Band
Holme Valley Contest - won by Skelmanthorpe
Northern Ireland Brass Band League - won by 1st Old Boys Silver
Irish Association of Brass and Concert Bands - won by Drogheda
Fife Brass Band Festival - won by Kingdom Brass
SCABA Spring Contest - won by Friary Guildford.

The next update will follow the All-England Masters International, which will be held in Kettering at the end of the month.
