Gordon is a successful conductor and teacher of Brass. Having spent much of his life playing at the highest level with this country's top bands and having been influenced significantly by their conductors - Trevor Walmsley DFC, James Watson, Richard Evans and perhaps most significantly by Geoff Whitham - who taught Gordon as a player as well as mentoring him as a conductor as a younger man.

Gordon is a full-time teacher of brass in the Leeds area and has an admirable track record of contest successes with bands of all levels.

Gordon is available to assist bands in preparation for competitions or other events.
